Brussels Transport Ltd. First Brussels Area Business to Support Hospital Project with $50,000 Donation
Brussels Transport Ltd. First Brussels Area Business to Support Hospital Project with $50,000 Donation

Brussels Transport Ltd has pledged to donate $50,000 to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation’s Our Hospital, Our Future campaign over the next five years. Brussels Transport Ltd is the first business from the Brussels area to contribute to the campaign which supports the major redevelopment of the Wingham & District Hospital. Campaign Team Leader, Jenny Hogervorst, who was on hand on January 6th to receive the donation, said she is thankful for the support from Brussels Transport Ltd and “hopes their generosity might inspire other Brussels area businesses to become part of the project as well”.

Brussels Transport Ltd owners Jim and Lyn Jutzi and Neil Jutzi were particularly interested in supporting the project because of the recent passing of their brother from cancer. As part of the Hospital redevelopment, the Oncology department, which is the only one in Huron County, will be expanded to better meet the growing need for local chemotherapy treatment. A big thank you goes out to Brussels Transport Ltd for their donation.

Renovations continue at the Wingham & District Hospital as part of the long term redevelopment plan. Recent activities include new flooring and wall finishes in the emergency department, ongoing renovations in the former board room to create rehabilitation space closer to the main entrance and outdoor directional signage now in place.
